How are you holding up? I don’t have a whole post about the election in me—maybe that’s a relief to you or maybe it’s a disappointment. Suffice it to say: I am sad, I am disappointed, I am angry.

But what I do have is a strong urge to gather people I love around my table and create a small pocket of joy and laughter and stuff them full of carbs. Maybe you feel that urge, too?

Over the summer, when I sent out a call for questions, one person asked:

I really want a perfect dinner party menu and a plan for prep—what are you doing two days before, morning of, etc. Are you doing anything fun and interesting to make your dinner party sparkle a little?

So, today I’m sharing my entire plan for Friendsgiving where I’ll be hosting 8 friends. I did this on a smaller scale last year and really want to turn it into a full-fledged tradition.
